DR JOHN NEWCOMB
Veterinarian
Dr. John Newcomb has been our veterinarian from day one. Beyond being an exceptional horseman, he is a trusted friend and has been responsible for the health and well-being of nearly every athlete that has passed through our barn — including more than $10 million worth of winners.
John’s expertise and importance to our program are invaluable. His reputation and depth of knowledge speak for themselves, but it’s the commitment behind the scenes that truly sets him apart. He’s the one working late into the night, both at home and at horse shows, ensuring our horses are prepared, comfortable, and able to compete at their very best.
When you work side by side with your veterinarian and share the same level of dedication, it’s the attention to the small details — the ones most people never see — that make the difference in a horse’s performance. That’s teamwork, but more than that, it’s a long-term relationship built on trust, respect, and an understanding that often goes unspoken.
We’re deeply grateful for John’s consistency, dedication, and the standard of care he brings to our program every single day.
Cam Essick
Marketing
Cam Essick of Pacific Range Design is a designer, photographer, and horsewoman whose work has been recognized worldwide in leading equine publications. Her creativity, eye for detail, and deep connection to the performance horse industry continue to set a high standard.
Cam has managed Andrea Fappani’s image and business ventures since the very beginning in 2002. Her leadership in design and visual storytelling has played a key role in shaping a brand built on integrity—one that truly reflects our program, our values, and the care we put into our horses.
We take great pride in our brand and in ensuring that it consistently represents who we are, whether at a horse show, in the arena, or alongside our sponsors. We’ve made a meaningful investment in our image, and we value having Cam as a trusted partner who continues to elevate that vision year after year.
We are proud of the long-standing business relationship we share, and even more grateful for the friendship that has grown alongside it.
Arek Boulding
Farrier
Arek Boulding and his family currently reside in Texas and have been shoeing for us since 2004. Arek is the kind of farrier who truly understands horses — how conformation, movement, and job requirements all work together. He has an exceptional ability to quickly assess how a horse moves and adapt a shoeing plan to improve comfort, balance, and performance based on our specific concerns and goals.
We work very closely, constantly discussing and fine-tuning the way our horses are shod to best suit how they need to perform. One of the things we value most is Arek’s open-mindedness — his willingness to listen, collaborate, and try different approaches when it’s in the best interest of the horse.
Beyond working on our horses at the ranch, Arek has spent countless hours with us at major shows. Sharing the same appreciation for the smallest details and working side by side allows us to do what’s best for each individual horse. His strength lies in his almost instinctive ability to assess a horse and deliver exceptional farrier work, consistently and quietly.
We are grateful to have Arek as part of our team — a role that has contributed to more than $10 million in earnings on our horses. His skill, consistency, and dedication have made a lasting impact on our program.
Arek and his wife, Kelly, are the proud parents of two sons, Tanner and Tucker.
Randy Tune
Farrier
Randy Tune trims all of our mares, foals, and yearlings, and shoes our prospects until they are ready to transition to Arek. Having worked alongside Arek for many years, Randy knows the program extremely well, which creates important consistency throughout our horses’ development.
In addition to his work with us, Randy runs his own shoeing business and maintains an independent clientele. He flies into Arizona weekly to assist Arek and is also available to step in and help Eric with the horses in training. Working hand in hand, they share an exceptional skill set and philosophy, ensuring our horses are always in the best possible working condition.
Randy and his wife, Shelly, are proud parents to their daughter Lilly and son Levi.
